For me photography is a meditation and
it requires complete union with the subject and its surroundings, making me
oblivious to everything else. It is a pursuit to be followed in solitude. And hence when I am invited for a photo walk, I generally indicate my inability to join.
When I look at pictures I have captured
during photo-walk , I observe lack of concentration and forced efforts. When I
look back and re-construct the photo walk and think about the moment I captured
a particular photo, I see cacophony of moments reflected in that
photo.
If it makes me "self-concentrated" photographer,
then I am. In pursuit of my art, I prefer to work under circumstances which
makes me feel comfortable.
