Lotus, national flower of India is native of India. Stunningly beautiful flower grows in muddy water. It is symbol of purity of heart & Mind. In Hindu Mythology it is associated with Goddess of wealth Ma Lakshmi. Some parts of the flower are edible and are used in Indian cooking.
In Budhhism also this flower is valued very highly.
