Swaminarayan Temple situated in Kalupur area of Ahmedabad is a must visit destination for any visitor to Ahmedabad. Temple built in 19th century has amazing,intricate wood carvings. Colours of these carvings are attractive,vivid and brilliant. This temple is designed in typical Gujarati "haveli" style with long galleries and huge courtyard in the middle. Courtyard has a bird feeder which is a common sight in Gujarati architecture.
Followers of Swaminarayan sect throng the temple through out the day apart from many visitors from India and abroad.
