Thol Bird Sanctuary is situated around 20 kilometers from Ahmedabad. It covers total area of 7 sq.kms.One can find more than 100 varieties of birds there including Flamingoes,Pelicans,Cranes,Egrets, Herons and many more. Ideal season to go there is between November to February. Surprisingly even in this very hot month of June we found plenty of birds flocking there. Marshland surrounding the lake was lush Green. Water was serene. Everything was so peaceful. It is very easy to pass entire day there enjoying the vista and colourful visitors.
