On my recent visit to Dhariawad and Sitamata Sanctuary in Rajasthan, I clicked this photo, of family cooking its meal on the roadside.

In month of August, I visited Sitamata Sanctuary and Dhariawad in Rajasthan. Thanks to good monsoon this year, landscape was amazingly beautiful. Rivers were flowing with water. Colourful cloths worn by Rajasthani women gave perfect photo opportunity.

Faces of India - 9

Once again my photo journey to catch Faces of India continues.

Old city of Ahmedabad & its people ,once again caught my attention.

Faces of people residing in old city tell thousand tales. Here is Grandpa like figure indulgently observing kids.

tea stalls are favourite hanging place of people of the area.

"Baa" is going through morning newpaper.

Street dogs are common sight and looked after by residents of the area with all the love and care.

Vegetable vendors are always part of the "scenery" so to say!

Glimpses of India

India is a fascinating country with interesting mix of people,religions,culture,food,clothing. It never stops to surprise you with its wide variety. 

Rural India with its colourful landscape is very attractive destination for any photographer.

At each turn you will see something which captivates you,which makes you stop and stare.

India survives on faith . Belief in "Karma" is what keeps it going in spite of many adversities they face during their day to day life.

Flora and Fauna also changes every few miles.

Faces of India - 8

Once again I am back with my favourite series Faces of India.

Time for a tea break and gossip.

I was taking a walking tour of the city, which gave me plenty of opportunity to study the faces I love to photograph.

I could see hint of fear and madness on his visage.

 Two friends were enjoying their early morning gossip session.

Fond father was helping his son with studies while fond grandfather was observing the proceedings.

Shopkeeper had just opened his shop and was not in his sartorial best.

Old shepherd was relaxing while his herd was looked after by his son.

Ladies had lot to discuss while man was contemplating.

Monk was not very happy being photographed.

How I can I forget dogs which are as much a part of Indian landscape as people are.

Faces of India - 6

Once again my journey continues. Fascination with faces of India, people of India , their traditions, their way of life continues. It gets reflected in images I take.

This photo-image is of tea vendor-"Gallawala"- I came across recently. Powerful personality, he reminded me of village leader depicted in Hindi cinema.

Traditional Indian woman with "Bindi" on forehead , nose Ring and ear rings (sometimes more than one) epitomises beauty. Her eyes are always most noteworthy feature of her face.

Aha! Tea. Nectar for every Indian.

Once again Tea is part of the image.

Typical scene during months of monsoon. People covering their faces and sometimes body with old gunny bags.

Typical vegetable vendor with religious mark on his face can be seen all over Gujarat.

"Bandwala"'s are part of any religious or marriage procession in India.With their colourful attire and musical instruments they are quite popular. 

This Black beauty is Balloon and toy seller by roadside. Her sharp features radiates a beauty which no beauty parlour can help to achieve.
