Todaiji temple,world heritage site, was constructed in 752 and re-constructed in 1692. This Bronze statue of Buddha,15m tall and weighing 250 tonnes, is largest Bronze statue of Buddha in Japan. Wooden building which encloses it,is world's largest wooden building.

Days: This temple remains open all 7 days of a week.

Hours: 8:00 to 16:30 (November to February)
8:00 to 17:00 (March)
7:30 to 17:30 (April to September)
7:30 to 17:00 (October)

entry fee: ¥500
